Frank K. Yorita, D.D.S., B.D.S.

Noted Author and Teacher ...

Dr. Yorita has been recognized with numerous honors from his publications in the dental profession.  He is the recipient of the Excellence in Journalism Award from the California Dental Association, the Journalism Award from the International  College of Dentists, the Distinguished Service Award from the Orange County Dental Society, Award of Merit from the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Presidential Award from the USC Dental Alumni Association.

He has lectured at the USC Dental School, USC Century Club, Rancho Los Amigos Hospital, Long Beach V.A. Hospital, Cypress College, American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.  He has also done presentations in Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and Japan, and is one of the founding members of the Interdisciplinary Dentofacial Institute.

Honored By His Peers ...

Dr. Yorita graduated with honors from the U.C.S.F. Dental School.  After completing his residency in orthodontics at USC in 1972, he began his teaching and was again honored for excellence in teaching by elections to Omicron Kappa Upsilon as a faculty member.  He has been honored with prestigious Fellowships in the American and International College of Dentists, and the elite Pierre Fauchard Academy.  Memberships in these organizations are reserved for the top 3% of dentists internationally.  Dr. Yorita is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, an achievement and honor held by only 30% of practicing orthodontists in the nation.

Dr. Yorita continues to be active as a Clinical Assistant Professor at USC, board member of the Century Club and Dean’s Advisory Board, and a member of the USC Dentistry Associates and American Association of Orthodontists. He is also an Invisalign Premier Provider (top 5% in the nation with clinical experience).  His professional activities enable him to stay current with many of the newest advances in the art and science of orthodontics.

Concerned Humanitarian ...

Dr. Yorita was given the “Champion for Children” award from Mothers and Others Against Child Abuse for his dedication to ending child abuse.  He was also given the Ayuda Humanitarian Award for his financial and personal help with providing donated dental care for the disadvantaged in Orange County and several Latin American Countries.  He continues to donate collected canned food and orthodontic treatment to Parent Help, USA.
